Grape Varietal: 100% Chenin Blanc
Terroir: Northeast-facing, sand and limestone soil
Age of vines: 60 years
Yield: 40hL/ha
Vinification: Fermentation in indigenous yeasts, 50% in used foudres, 50% in barrels (with 15% new oak). Ageing for 12 months in barrel, then another 6 months blending and ageing in stainless steel tank.

The Producer

Arnaud Lambert joined the winery founded by his father in 2005. The domaine covers about 30 hectares of vineyards in the appellations of Saumur and Saumur-Champigny. The viticulture was converted organic in 2009 and biodynamic in 2018, in the pursuit to un-earth the true potential of each terroir. Today, Arnaud is known as one of the most prominent Loire growers practising low-intervention, precise winemaking, remakably distinguished from the mass-producing cooperatives that dominate the region.
